Nathan Fillion is bored on Castle. He’s one more day of shooting away from starting Pantless Fridays on set.
That’s why he’s formulated a new plan to “shake it up” this season, and he told me all about it at last night’s HBO Emmy party. I gotta tell you guys, it’s bananas! Bananas, I say! What is this evil television genius cooking up?
After you hear his plan for next season of Castle, I ask that you please heed his cry for fans to “weather the storm.” Plus, Nathan puts in a request for a cooler ride than costar Stana Katic has on the show, and he has a message to his beloved Twitter followers. Check it out in the video below, and then maybe tweet at him about his shake-up plan and whether he’s one wave away from pulling a Fonzie.
Hey everyone, according to Spoiler TV, episode number 6 of season 3 will be called “Almost Famous.” I wonder what this episode will be about. Think it’ll be anything like Famous Last Words? I guess we’ll find out this fall!
Castle has more than woman trouble: The NYPD isn’t too pleased that Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) took off for the summer with his ex-wife. “The entire NYPD is acting like a jilted girlfriend,” says Fillion. “He comes back to find out that he’s broken up with the NYPD. He hasn’t called, he hasn’t written, he hasn’t emailed or texted. They’re all pretty upset with him. He really didn’t know that was going to happen.”
Nathan Fillion, Emily Deschanel, Lauren Graham and Maura Tierney will present at the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards.

Also taking the podium will be Christopher Meloni, Tom Selleck, Boris Kodjoe, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Emmy nominees Claire Danes (Temple Grandin), Ted Danson (Damages) and Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: SVU).

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, airs Sunday live on both coasts at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC.
Castle‘s executive producer Andrew Marlowe has revealed that he thinks Castle and Beckett will eventually begin a relationship.
However, Marlowe suggested that it will be some time before the pair start a romance.
“There will come a time in the series when [a relationship] will be worth exploring,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “But I don’t think the characters are ready to go to that level now.”
Marlowe added that he wants to explore the relationship between Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) more before they get romantically involved.
“We still have a lot of storytelling – a lot of near misses – left to explore and play with,” he said. “In many ways Beckett is still a mystery to Castle. She has other things going on in her life that she’s very cautious about exposing to him because she feels that he’s not ready.”
He continued: “I think the fun of the series is watching them do that dance. And the dance can continue evolving to the point where they can be in a relationship. I just don’t think they’re ready for that right now.”
Castle creator Andrew Marlowe has defended his decision not to rush the relationship between Castle and Beckett.
The pair, played by Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, have previously been attracted to each other but will be involved in different romances in the new season.
Marlow has now told TV Guide that it is important not to let the duo get together too quickly.
“If you don’t create obstacles, the flirtation will lead to something much sooner than the audience wants,” he said.
However, Marlowe suggested that he does not plan to keep the pair apart forever, saying: “Part of our metaphor in the early stretch of the season is that these two people, who many feel belong together, ‘married’ the wrong people. So we’re rooting for them to wake up and find each other again.”
