I am so excited for the “Cuffed” episode of Castle. What can you tell me? —Erin
ADAM: Castle and Beckett, handcuffed on a bed together, with no recollection of how they got there — what could possibly go
rightwrong? As you might imagine, the duo finds themselves in a number of awkward — and suggestive —positions as they try to escape. At one point, Beckett even asks Castle to lift up her shirt. Rawr! (That sexist sound is also a hint.)

Question: OK, spill. Tell us everything you know about next week’s Castle episode that finds our favorite duo handcuffed in bed together! —Cheryl
Ausiello: I’m all tapped out on “Cuffed.” Sorry. As a consolation, here’s a scoop on the upcoming Kardashian-esque spoof starring Hilarie Burton and Justin Hartley: Nana Visitor of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Torchwood fame will play Dr. Phyllis Barker, an eminent canine therapist whose talents are called upon when it’s discovered that one of her “clients” witnessed a murder.

4×10 “Cuffed” Canadian Promo
ABC didn’t show a promo for next week’s episode, but hopefully one will be released this week. In the meantime, enjoy the CTV promo!
Stana Katic Talks About the ‘Kill Shot’ Ending and Previews ‘Cuffed’
After seasons of struggling with her mother’s death, CASTLE’s Beckett finally made a conscious decision at the end of last week’s episode, “Kill Shot,” to try and start to let go of the case that has defined so much of who she has become. (Though, as regular CASTLE fans are well aware, Castle is secretly investigating her mother’s case on his own.)
So what’s next?
I sat down with Stana Katic (Beckett) after her recent SAG Foundation panel to discuss what Beckett’s revelation will mean for her character. Plus, with next week’s episode literally handcuffing the duo together, will any of their long-simmering secrets be revealed?
Take a look…
CASTLE is airing a rerun tonight on ABC, but make sure to check back for a brand new episode, “Cuffed,” on Monday, December 5 at 10 PM!

Keck’s Exclusives: Castle Flashes Back to the ’40s
Warning: Do not read below if you wish to remain spoiler free!
I was recently invited by the Screen Actors Guild to moderate a panel with Castle beauty Stana Katic, who let slip that the ABC show is planning a film-noir episode. Exec producer Andrew Marlowe confirms a February sweeps installment will find Castle and Beckett imagining themselves in the 1940s, with Nathan Fillion suited up as a Sam Spade—type PI and Stana as a gangster’s moll.
Then in the spring, Castle and Beckett will trip the light fantastic in a Dancing With the Stars-themed episode timed to that show’s return. But don’t look for Tom Bergeron to make a cameo. Says Andrew: “Unfortunately, we already killed Tom in 2010 [when he played] a talk-show host.”

Keck’s Exclusives: Hilarie Burton Gets the Keys to the Castle
Former One Tree Hill hottie Hilarie Burton is become reality star. Sort of. Hilarie, who left her One Tree role as Peyton in 2009 and currently costars on USA’s White Collar, has won a guest spot on ABC’s Castle as a charismatic reality TV personality named Kay Cappuccio, who to me sounds a lot like a certain Kardashian. ABC’s description of the character notes Kay has “achieved significant fame and fortune without possessing any discernible skill or talent — she is famous mostly for being famous.” Of course that could also apply to any number of Hiltons or Real Housewives populating our TVs.
The character bio goes on to say, “Her outspoken attitude, good looks and knockout body have made her a favorite of tabloids and gossip websites the world over. Kay both relishes this spotlight and at the same time feels a prisoner of her own celebrity lifestyle — the result is a woman who is more complex than she might at first seem.”
More complex than she seems? Well, so much for my Kardashian comparisons. Sure, that was bitchy of me to say, but also fitting considering this episode’s cheeky title: “An Embarrassment of Bitches.”

Question: Have never written to you or anyone else for spoilers, but I am about to have my own trauma if Dec. 5 doesn’t come soon. Any additional tidbits you can share on Castle and Beckett in “Cuffed”? —Gloria
Ausiello: Leading lady Stana Katic threw around words like “cute” and “adorable” when TVLine’s Matt Webb Mitovich grilled her about the unorthodox hour. “It will be a lighter episode, something that will take the edge off of [this week's] “Kill Shot” and offer some balance,” she adds. “We get to see the whole gang and their hijinks!”

How long before we see the effects of Beckett’s most recent confession to her shrink on Castle? — Whitney
ADAM: Well, don’t expect her to run straight into Castle’s arms. After all, we’re pretty sure that secret he’s keeping from her will rear its ugly head at some point. But Stana Katic remains optimistic, despite the obstacles. “The more the characters grow, the more undeniable it will be that the two of them are just going to be together,” she says. “It’s a natural progression. It’s not a matter of teasing the audience; it’s just a matter of fully fleshing out the characters and [then] it’ll just happen. It will have to.”

4×09 “Kill Shot” Screencaps
I’ve added HD screencaps from last night’s episode. It was a really emotional one, and Stana Katic and Jon Huertas really shone throughout the episode. The rest of the cast did a fantastic job as well. If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you stock up on tissues before hand. Enjoy the caps!
