On Monday’s episode of Castle, Detective Beckett is going to have some explaining to do when she lets it slip that she remembers everything about her shooting.
Earlier this season, Beckett (Stana Katic) told Castle (Nathan Fillion) that she didn’t remember anything — including that Castle said “I love you” — after a sniper shot her at Captain Montgomery’s funeral. However, Beckett later revealed to her shrink that she was lying and that she couldn’t pursue a relationship with Castle until she had fully dealt with her mother’s murder.
On Monday’s episode (10/9c), Castle and Beckett investigate a bombing at an anti-Wall Street movement. When their suspect claims to have no memory of the minutes before the explosion in the clip below, Beckett — unaware that Castle is listening nearby — calls his bluff: “You don’t get to use that as an excuse. … I was shot in the chest and I remember every second of it,” she says. Oops!
Although this betrayal could shatter the couple, creator Andrew W. Marlowe previously told us that the life-threatening case in the episode, titled “47 Seconds” could inspire Castle and Beckett to stop beating around the bush. “It does make Castle and Beckett start questioning what they’re doing in life,” Marlowe says. “[The victims] had plans… and then suddenly their lives were over. So it makes you think: ‘Should I wait or should I act now?’ Those thoughts are definitely on their minds.”
Castle airs Monday at 10/9c on ABC. Check out our exclusive sneak peek below:

Even more sneak peeks have been released today. I’m not sure if the video with the first 10 minutes is the same as any of the sneak peeks, because I’m not watching them, but if any of them are the same, I apologize. Enjoy!
