An awards show isn’t complete without a stocked roster of superstar presenters, and the upcoming Billboard Music Awards, airing live on ABC Sunday from Las Vegas, promises to deliver.

Cee-Lo Green, Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Rowland, PSY, Kid Rock, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ke$ha, Jennifer Nettles, Sky Blu, Alanis Morisette, Wiz Khalifa and Florida Georgia Line lead up the music side of the presenters list.

Hollywood will be represented by Hayden Panettiere (“Nashville”), Chloe Grace Moretz (“Dark Shadows”), Alyssa Milano (“Mistresses”), Jennifer Morrison (“Once Upon a Time”), Gabriel Mann (“Revenge”), Stana Katic (“Castle”) and Emmy Rossum (“Shameless”).

As previously announced, Prince will be on hand to perform and accept the Billboard Icon Award, and Madonna will take the stage to receive the Top Touring Artist award for her MDNA tour.

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards will air this Sunday, May 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, live from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. “30 Rock” alum Tracy Morgan will host, with Don Mischer producing.

Along with Prince, other performers joining the ceremony include Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Miguel, Justin Bieber, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez, the Band Perry, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, Akon, Ne-Yo, David Guetta and Icona Pop.

Swift, fun. and Maroon 5 top the finalists at the 2013 awards, with each included in 11 categories. Rihanna competes in 10 categories, including Top Artist against Swift, Maroon 5, Justin Bieber and One Direction, while a pair of younger artists — Carly Rae Jepsen and 1D themselves — are finalists in nine and eight categories, respectively.

Billboard Music Awards finalists were based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital singles sales, radio airplay, touring, streaming and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, VEVO, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music. These measurements were tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Entertainment and Next Big Sound.

Amy Morton (the Steppenwolf Theatre actress and director who has starred on Broadway in both “August: Osage County” and “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf”), and S. Epatha Merkerson (the Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award-winning actress who starred on TV’s “Law and Order”), will be the recipients of the 2013 Awards for Excellence in the Arts when The Theatre School of DePaul University presents its 25th annual gala benefit April 22 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, 120 E. Delaware Place.

The two recipients of the Alumni Award for Excellence in the Arts will be Stana Katic (star of the hit ABC-TV series “Castle,” and the upcoming film, “CBGB”), and Paul Miller (the Broadway lighting designer).

The annual awards ceremony recognizes distinguished artists and visionaries who have proven their dedication, talent, and leadership in support of the arts.

This year’s event, to be hosted by Dexter Bullard, the gifted director who serves as Head of Graduate Acting at The Theatre School, also will present Allstate Insurance Company with the Leadership Award for Excellence in the Arts.

Tickets for the benefit are $500 per person, with tables for 10 starting at $5,000. The event benefits The Theatre School’s Scholarship Fund, which provides necessary financial assistance to the young artists-in-training at the school.

On ABC’s hit show “Castle,” actress Stana Katic plays detective Kate Beckett who investigates crimes in New York with novelist Richard Castle, portrayed by Nathan Fillion. The show focuses on the romantic tension between the two and their passion for solving crimes.

Actress Stana Katic joins “Starting Point” to discuss the hit series and the recent celebration of its 100th episode.

When the show first began “we were starting off and just trying to make it through our days,” says Katic. “We work many long hours… but that was it you just kind of make it one step at a time and then all of sudden we turn to a few weeks ago and it’s oh wow we’re filming the 100th episode.”

Katic says when the network first saw the pilot for the show, executives asked that the romantic relations between Katic and Fillion’s characters be pulled back some because “they look like they’re about to get together in episode two.”

“I think that bounce and that chemistry was there from the start. Otherwise I don’t know that we would have had a show,” she says.

“It’s been really fun kind of navigating what does it mean to work together and be in a relationship… it also plays into kind of the comedy and drama of this story because it’s not easy and the two characters have a point of view and most times the point of view is on opposite ends,” Katic adds.

ABC aired the 100th episode of “Castle” Monday, April 1 on ABC. You can also catch the latest episode on abc.go.com.

Castle crosses a major TV mark tonight as ABC airs the 100th episode of their genre-blending hit series, and ETonline has a sneak peek of the Rear Window-inspired installment!

In The Lives of Others, Castle is holed up in his loft with a broken leg while Beckett & Co. go off to investigate the death of an IRS agent. Cooped up and bored, Castle turns his attention to the building across the street, and believes he witnesses the murder of a young woman.

The episode was doubly significant for the cast, as Stana Katic says, “It’s a special episode tonight because [Castle creator] Andrew Marlowe and his wife [Terri Edda Miller] both wrote it. They wrote for the fans who are so sweet and supportive. I think it’s going to be a nice glass of champagne for the fans.”
